I discovered this recently but I really like the idea of bands playing music based on the HP world. I don't know a lot of bands yet but my favourites so far are RiddleTM and Swish And Flick. RiddleTM's songs are cute, funny and really emotional sometimes, they translate the character's personalities really well in their songs. I particularly love their version of Regulus Black's letter to Voldemort in a song. Swish and Flick is more a Slytherin fangirl's universe, where the songs fantasize about Death Eaters being sexy and making out with Draco It's a bit hip-hop and quite catchy actually. So, what are your favourite Wrock bands/songs ?

I'm not familiar with a lot of WRock, though I have listened to it for quite a long time. My favourites are Ministry of Magic and Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls. Though I really really love the song 'In Which Draco and Harry Secretly Make Out' by The Whomping Willows. You will love it if you aren't familiar with it.
Another great song is 'Accio Love' by Ministry of Magic, it's about Ron and Hermione which was my very first ship.
I'll definitely listen to RiddleTM and Swish and Flick though.

Wizard roooock! I'm a wizard rock musician myself, so I'm a little biased, but some wizard rockers are even better live than they are in recordings and I highly recommend seeing a wizard rock show if one ever comes your way! My favorite band is The Whomping Willows; Matt is such a great guy. Tonks and the Aurors and Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls are also must-listens.

I wish I could see a Wizard Rock show, but somehow I don't think I'll ever have the opportunity in New Zealand! (And considering my current state of unemployment, there's no way I'll be able to afford to go anywhere anytime soon). But that would be absolutely brilliant.
I'll just content myself with listening on my computer.

Ooh I would love to see a show too ! I can imagine the crowd all in Hogwarts uniforms or cosplays, pretending it's the Yule Ball or something like that.

Obliviateme's wrock is fabulous and very inspiring; she's got a fantastic voice and her lyrics are just spot on. I listen to her when I draw sometimes! If you haven't heard her stuff, you should really, really check out her band page.

I loooove hp inspired music (I have a whole playlist on my itunes lol). I discovered it awhile ago and I've been addicted ever since. My favorite song is Slytherin Night by WinterSpringPro (over on youtube). Not only is it about my house (slytherin pride, whoot), but I love the singer's voice and the beat. If you haven't listened to this, I seriously recommend you do. I also love Swish and Flick, The Whomping Willows, Minstry of Magic, Gred and Forge, Not Literally, and Oliver Boyd and the Remembralls. And I like the song My Obsession by The Parselmouths and Wands by Midnight Beast (although that's more a joke/parody). See? I told you I love hp inspired songs xD I've never heard of RiddleTM and I'm definitely going to check that out now.

I've heard of Wrock, but never got around to listening to it... is it an online station? Where can I listen to it? (I'm guessing something like MyHogwarts?)

I never actually heard the term 'Wrock' before this thread and I just looked it up now, and I found this link on hp wiki which lists loads of Wrock bands if anyone is interested. There's so many O.O -runs off to listen to every song I can get my hand on-
